How Maersk Imports Were Affected

Maersk handles a massive share of container shipping into the United States. Their integrated logistics arm — including the customs brokerage formerly known as Damco — cleared imports subject to IEEPA tariffs for thousands of clients. If you used Maersk's end-to-end logistics including customs clearance, your entries from the tariff period included IEEPA duties that the Supreme Court has now invalidated.

Getting Your Documents from Maersk

Contact Maersk's customs services team or your account manager to request CBP Form 7501 entry summaries. Maersk's digital platform maersk.com may have shipment data, but the official 7501 forms are what you need for your refund filing. Request all entries from April 2, 2025 through February 20, 2026. If you used Damco before the integration, your records are now within the Maersk system.

Container Volumes Mean Larger Refunds

Maersk clients typically import by container — FCL or LCL — which means higher per-shipment values compared to parcel or express imports. A single container of goods from China at 145% IEEPA tariff rates could carry substantial duties. Multiply that across months of regular shipments, and the total recovery amount can be significant. Don't leave this money with the government.
